Digital Literacy for the 21st Century: Policy Implications for Higher Education

Abstract

This paper discourses on digital literacy as a development tool for the 21st century in Higher education for both
educators and learners. This is seen as a key requirement for Higher Education Institutions. It presents the
challenges and policy implications for the Higher education. It stresses that being digitally literate is critical to
functioning in a digitally connected environment.
