The Journal of Samoan Studies (JSS) is a multidisciplinary publication devoted to the study of Samoa. This volume presents refereed research articles by the staff members of the National University of Samoa. The Centre for Samoan Studies gratefully acknowledges the reviewers who contributed in the blind review process for this volume.

The Centre for Samoan Studies pays tribute to one of the inaugural Editorial Board members of JSS, the late Emeritus Professor Ron Crocombe.
